The following document will outline how to upgrade the firmware of a Fanvil X<\/a> and C series IP phone using the device\u2019s own web interface. This step is required prior to the provisioning of the phone to ensure that the minimum requirements and features are implemented into the device’s firmware. The minimum required firmware is specified in the main provisioning guides for Fanvil X series<\/a> and C series.<\/p>\n

Step 1. Check\/Validate Firmware Version<\/h2>\n

In order to check the firmware version of your Fanvil IP phone:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Point your web browser to your phone\u2019s IP address.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Login to your account (default user\/password:\u00a0admin\/admin<\/span>).<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Navigate to\u00a0\u201cInformation >><\/b><\/span>\u00a0System >> Software.\u201d<\/span><\/b>\u00a0This number is your device\u2019s running firmware.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Download the firmware image file .zip\/.z for your phone model and save it in your drive.<\/li>\n
